i got a 67 ford mustang inline 6 and i was thinking should i put tags on it or will gas kill me does anyone know how much gas it get to the mile.

 

Assuming there have not been any modifictions to the engine, and it is a standard transmission, and everything else is factory, and you don't have a lead foot, you can expect a mixed driving gas mileage of aroung 20 MPG. BTW, welcome to the site.

Of course it does. Those little holes where the tags screw into are now stopped up, so the wind drag increases, so therefore more gas per mile. Obviously, he is asking if he should get tags in order to drive it legally. My answer is yes, if you have adequate insurance. A typical SUV will cost you the same and more in gas mileage.
