Default Locking rear?

So I just got my car back from the shop because I was having problems with the carb and needed them to help me out. So it was running great and naturally I had to test it out. I took it up by my school last night and did a few nice burnouts, now here's where it gets a little weird. For some reason the first two burnouts I did left two marks and the third left only one; now as far as I know I have an open diff., so what do you guys think could have caused my rear to lock like that? I'm just curious because it seemed pretty odd that it would do that all of a sudden.

Default RE: Locking rear?

On a hard takeoff like that you can often get the left tire to spin for a few feet. I've done that plenty of times with my open diff. I can't explain why it happens, but it does happen.
