Default Engine Cowl paint

Hi, I was thinking of painting the inside, and possibly the out side of the engine cowl (air intake for the heater and such) with POR15. There's a little rust so I thought that might be a good idea to use the POR15.

However, the black POR15 is very shiny when dry. Do I need to top coat it with something less shiny, or will it really be noticable?

Or, should I use something else for this area and or detailing the engine area?

Thanks,

John F.

I dont have a lot of experience in this but I would want it to match whatever the rest of your engine bay is.

POR15 is a type of primer you need to topcoat it.

You can read up on the correct applications from distrubutors of POR15 on the web. That is another placce you should look to get additional info. google "POR15". There is a lot of good info on how to apply it, topcoat, etc. If that is what you want to use.
