Window leak test failed
Hi, I have the interior of my 73 coupe torn out and did a leak test to see if I could tell if water was getting in. I used a hose to pour water on the roof and let it flow out over one corner of the roof at a time. Boy did the water flow in!
Rear corners of the roof were the worst. Water is pouring in the lower window corners and somehow is rocketing down the rear corner of the quarter panel windows into the regulator area. Can these things be fixed? I've had people replace the rear window seal a few times, but still have an issue.
The quarter panel flood caught me by surprise. Everthing looks sealed from the outside. And yet the flow is very strong down the end of the window seal that is poking down into the quaterpanel.
The front passenger side is leaking too. The water appears to be getting in around the aluminum strip that outlines the door window. Is there supposed to be some caulking or a seal under the edge?
The drive side is not leaking. Yippee.
