Default Calculating a 1966 "Build Date" from VIN

I'm trying to calculate a build date by using just the VIN number. Is there a website or a book that lists the end of the month production numbers via the VIN number for each of the plants? The VIN in question is: 6F08C259443
(1966 Convertible Dearborn Plant)
What would the the correct "Build Date" for this car? And would that same date be correct for the "Body Tag" date? or was the date on the body tag a few days earlier then the actual build date of the car?
Thanks

what you have is the warranty number. As far as i know you will not be able to find a build date with just that, you will need the rest of the data from the door tag. here is a link to a decoder, if you put your number in the warranty thing, it tells you the things you can find with the warranty number.

you have 2 options

if the door tag is correct, you can get the build date.
if not, then your only hope is finding the original build sheet which may be under the dash (eg taped to wires or taped to top of glove compt liner) or under the carpet. Assuming the car is not "restored" in some way.

unfortunately the year, plant, body and engine codes are the only useful information on the vin.

There are date codes stamped into most pieces of your car's sheet metal. The build date is usually about a week ortwo after the date codedon them. There's probably a VIN registery somewhere on the net.

Not entirely accurate on names of colors, but I found it to be useful.
