just build a bigger motor with aluminum heads and intake then you still have everything you want in you car.

I'd take weight off the already heavy nose ends. Replacing engine parts with aluminum will not only loose weight, but also decrease heat buildup and if you go ahead and get the right parts, net you a few ponies.

Aluminum intake sounds like a good/easy thing to look into. Maybe throw in an aluminumcarb spacer since it'll be all apart anyways.

- Completely removing the power steering (probably 10-15 lbs)
The pump itself is robably a good 10 pounds. I converted mine to manual...

Also get away from those steel rims.

edit: my personal favorite is the carbon fiber drive shaft...some day!
carbon fiber DRIVE SHAFT???!?!!?

this must be a joke...

cause the stock ones really arent that heavy. i was thinking of swapping to an aluminum one but when i took mine off i was like HOLY CRAP. it probably weighs 15lbs at most.

it's not really about dead weight also but everything else. rotational mass etc all that jazz. takes more effort to spin that "15lb" driveshaft than it would a 6 or 7 lb aluminium one, same goes with wheels. use huge *** steel wheels iirc the weight is doubled on each corner so if it weighs 30 lbs a wheel in total to the car it's like it's 60lbs. don't think just because you can reduce weight of the car by removing things, think of other stuff, rotational. flywheel, driveshaft, wheels etc. makes a big difference.
