haha one day when i was leaving school i had about a qtr. tank of gas left, or so my gauge said. Well i turned out of the school and just as i did this the car sputtered and spat and i had to pull off to the side. the car ran out of gas, in front of the school, when it was raining....hows that for embarresing...
lol yeah I had that one happen to me bout a week after I bought my '67. I worked at a small, city airport, so I walked back to the FBO, re-opened it and grabbed the keys for the fuel truck. I put like 3 gallons of 100LL airplane fuel in and drove to the nearest gas station to dillute that stuff!

i had my mustang break down at a gas station, a car parts store parking lot, and my house. I guess i was licky b/c both consecutive days (first day broke down b/c ofalternator (at house), second day b/c of starter (at gas station)and the third day b/c of battery(at car parts store). I guess i was lucky b/c when the car broke down three days in a row i had come from school with my friends and dropped them off at their houses so they never saw the car broken down. Thank god it didn't happen at school when everyone was around. I should have replaced all the charging/starting parts the first time around.(sucks working on your car with headers replacing the starter at a gas station-i need to invest in a mini starter or something)

i also broke down one day coming home from school driving my brother's 1970 dart swinger. A school bus went by me while i was stuck in the middle of the road and some of my friends said hi [:'(]. i had my brother and friend in the car with me and it acted up when i was at the school parking lot. the car cut out once and luckily started at school, but it cut out again down the street from my house! and wouldn't start back up. good thing i had some extra jets at the house cause i just replaced em and it started right up (the carb shot fuel right out the vents up top). this car is our race car and its nice. runs high tens in the quarter (440, 727 full manual vb, 8 3/4" rear with 3.91 gears)

the girls at school love my mustang

it seems like there's a muscle car kid at every high school or at some(by reading these posts). do you guys get any crap from any tuner kids? Just wanna know cause there are some at my school that can't be serious (especially since i put some of em in their place when they wanted to try out their coffee cans)

There are quite a few at my school. Hardly any of us drive to school tho (LOTS of cars get hit in our lot cuz ppl dont know how to park or open doors without hitting other cars). There are definitely a few kids who have been put in their places tho...

On the last day of school all the seniors who have classics are gonna drive them to school and have a little car show, and hopefully the school is blocking off an area of the lot for us. It should be pretty sweet.

im the only one with a muscle car at my school (actually 8) and i have a special spot in the lot away from kids. everyone knows not to bother the cars and they appreciate them (for the most part). i can't believe some of the jealous f**ks that think they can put my cars down for being nice and attention grabbers.

i have a chance to buy a teacher's 68 convertible mustang for about 500 bucks. her husband never finished the resto and its been sitting for years. the only catch is that the car is in pieces and i have to haul everything myself, including carrying the 289 out from her basement! plenty of new pieces and work already done. i think its a good deal

Superdavid a mustang is a pony car not muscle.Worse one i had was i t boned a cop car in the 65 impala i had wanted to killed the cop that pulled out in front of me.Best part was i got blamed for it even tho i left skid marks about 30 feet. But 6 months of fighting got it off my rec and made the city pay to fix my impala they spent 3 grand fixing it.I wouldn't let them use anything but oem tooling parts they loved me.Funniest part i drove off that 97 crown vic cop car got totaled new cars ain't really that much safer.

i've ran out of gas a few times and stalled a few times in town at lights. I would rather be caught pushing my 66 fastback than driving a honda.
