Brake power booster or whatever

I read somewheres that you can only use the booster on Auto's...

Is this the case?

NPD, and others have one for a manual transmission. I have fitted both the disc/drum unit and the disc/disc unit to the '66 in my signature. there is more info on the web page in my signature.
