Dads 68Mustang needs more juice with the elect fans, radio, a/c ,fuel pump etc. Being a mopar guy Im turning to you guys for help we have a 351w in it and the stock style alt in it now. Ive gone thru all the old post it looks like I need a 93 Taurus alt? Or a 95 Mustang? I guess it needs to be the 7 inch instead of the 8.25? Plus the upgraded wiring. Then do I just remove the old voltage reg and hide the wires. Just trying to get my ducks in a row cause he flips out when it doesnt work right the first time.. And it just saves me greif.

If you have the correct alt you can simply remove the reg and tape it up or do what I did which was to trace the wires back to where the plugged into the old alt and harness and remove them entirely and just use the new hookup on the 3g
