need encouragment!
First just consider yourself lucky for having a decent running classic. I've had mine since I was 15 and really havent had the money to make it move under it's own power lol..
Good luck either way

I completely agree with everyone here... Keep it and you will get more out of it than just power
, Get a job, in fact moving companies are usually looking to hire this time of the year. It is great money but, a tons of hours...sometimes too many... You may seem like you are in over your head now but things can turn around quick!

Keep it and work on the debt.Tweak it when you have the money.
I joined the Navy at 17 in '82, when I left for boot camp I owned a '69 Chevelle SS, which I sold for about $1,500. I bought a motorcycle (Hey, I was 17) with the money. I've always wanted to get another Chevelle like the one I had back then, but my wife went to college (tuition had to be paid), first child was born (really expensive for about 18 years), second child was born (child expenses doubled), bought a house (mortgage), first child needs a car (now have three cars instead of two), first child goes to college (Child expenses quadrupled), second child now wants a car (Where does it end?).........get the picture.
On top of fact that I never seemed to find the extra money to replace the Chevelle, they are now in the $25k -$40k range, and now that I have a little money to spend on a project I can't afford to buy the Chevelle.
I can't say for certain you will regret it, but I know that I have regretted selling my first car anda ther have been a few others since then I've regretted selling as well.

Stick with it bro. Summer is coming up soon, get a good job to pay off the debt, then start putting stuff on the car. 40 hrs per week at $8 an hour (decent rate for teen here in North Texas)= $320 per week
In 6 weeks you could have the debt paid off, save a little, then next summer start buying cool stuff. Thats the way I've always had to do it, cuz I can't work much during the school year and still make good grades. Good Luck!
