Default F****** paint gouge!!!

Hell, since I'm on a roll here I might as well ask this question too. The reason for my rant is that yesterday some ***-wipe put a nice 12-inch scratch on my hood. This is something that I don't think can be just buffed out because I can feel the groove from where the scratch is. How successful do you think a good body shop will be in taking out this scratch and getting the color to match? I've always heard that working on this type of two-stage paint is a major PIA. I'm taking my car to this one shop because they did an awesome job on my car after some schmuck in a 911 Carrera rear ended me while I was sitting in traffic. I'm looking for some words of encouragement.[sm=boohoo.gif]
