stripped bolts

Default stripped bolts

when i went ot takt of the fenders to finish stripping the sheetmetal of the front end, i found 2!! stripped bolts! im guessing its something the PO did[&:]is the only way ot get it out is drilling the tapping a new hole? its the one going into the rocker and of of the bumper brackets

If you have a welder, whether it is stick or mig, do this. If you can see the remaining part of the bolt, take a nut, center it where you can see the stud and weld the stud to the nut. The heat will help with removal. Done right, you should be able to take a wrench to it and remove it. It the nut comes off, just weld it again. Most people are afraid to do this and do not get a good penetration to the remaining part of the stud. Remember: Torch angle definnes direction of penetration. So if you are pointed exactly to the stud, that is where the penetration will be. We do this ALL the time. FEAR NOT!
