Just Got Body Work Done...
Well after 2 months of what I hate most, body work, that part is finally done. Let Me preface this saying still no front frame rails or main floor pan, but replaced quarter skins, full trunk pan, taillight panel. Pics once I can get the new camera to quit actin up when i try to load it via usb.
But here is the kicker, its pretty much all done without the front clip, we layed up a primer coat, a gel coat, some wax and mold release and have the first layer of our full main body fiberglass mold on the car. We are keeping the main car for the street car and building molds to build a complete fiberglass body-tube chassis car for SCCA/GT-1 Competition. Still running the suspension on the performance trends software, but once we get the chassis jig done we should have the calculations done. So hopefully were shooting for late 2009, 2010 for a race debut for the car, which with some of the slight aero changes we made shouldmake the aero readoutcomparable to an s197 grand am car, and were aiming for 1.15 on the skid pad, 700hp should be achievable from 310ci properly built at least it was on dynomation. But its still all a drawing board pipe dream, but im excited to get started.
