Default ELECTRIC FAN RELAY???

Hi, we are putting in a new painless wiring harness. We are at the point to hooking up an electrical fan. The painless manual shows a relay to the fan, We didnt know what a relay is or where is goes. Called painless and they gave me a part number and I just went and bought it. Its a weird little fuse like thing w/ 5 prongs. We went back into the manual and it shows the relay but we dont know where the relay goes? the manual shows something that looks like the relay might plug into? but doesnt say what that is? Can anyone help? [:@]

Default RE: ELECTRIC FAN RELAY???

the relay plugs into it's own connector. there should be a 5 slot connector also that goes with the relay that has all the wires on it.
