Default Replacing Water Pump Pulley

Any basic ideas on replacing the water pump pulley. Is it as easy as putting on a newer slimmer same diameter pulley. I am trying to install an electric cooling fan and
I could use the few inches the stock pulley takes up (that sticksout towards the radiator). Thanks.

Default RE: Replacing Water Pump Pulley

Richard, I just installed a new radiator, electric fan, and about to do the water pump pulley on my 67. I used a 14" from Advanced Auto as a pusher, and might be able to sneek a puller on the backside aswell. If you got one locally, go buy 1 or 2. Mine was 66$

Also, some companies make low profile fans, so that may be an option... Do they make slimmer pullies?
