reds still fade?
i agree all colors fade. thats why if you are getting some paint to match a car (to paint a hood or fender and not the entire car) they will polish a small section of that part of the car and scan the paint & pull up a paint code to match the color the car currently is not just what the book says it should be.
There are a number of good waxes availabel now that have UV protection added. That along with the added UV protection in the clear its much better than in the past.
yes but in comparison red,yellow and orange look pretty rough in a few years. for example if you painted an extra hood and put it up few years down the road it would look red the car would look pink[8D]
but yeah its not as bad as it used to be, a lot of the problems your thinking about came from lack of maintenance for example not waxing, not compounding to remove oxidation etc

years ago it seemed all red cars would fade badly if allowed to sit in the sun a bit. with the newer urethanes is this still the case?
