It came with the Pertronix ignition already installed, so no points for me. What about a stock coil? But then I'd have to regap my plugs back down to .03X, they are at .040 right now. And I don't have the tools with me for that.

blackberry
I'm gonna go check the timing quick and check some plugs, hopefully they aren't fouled. Probably gonna buy a new fuel pump too.

do you have the petronix module, or just the coil. I was referring to a petronix ignition module could be fouled up, it happened to a 68 302 i replaced for a guy who insisted on a petronix over the crane unit i reccomended, the petronix failed within a month.

both. The module looks pretty clean to me. I'm replacing the fuel pump as we speak but I am having troubles putting the new one back in. Ugh nothing ever goes back together right on this damn engine.

Just put in the new fuel pump and that didn't help at all. I checked the jets to see if they were clogged and they were fine. Could it be bad gas? I put in a new tank the day I parked it. I can't drain the tank that easily since there isn't a plug. Is there an additive I use to help burn up this tank of gas? Seafoam??
