1967 Vert Top Replacement
I have had one qoute for a repalcement of my vinyl top to a new canvas top (600+).
My question are..
1) If I remove the old top what can I do myself to better the install (frame paint? other jobs?)
2) The glass window is seperate form the new top can I do this myself?
3) I have never done a replacement and want to learn do you think a shop will allow me to view help?
4) can this be done by myself (ex Air Force engmech) or take a com college class to learn over the summer?
Ciao

1. yes, remove the top and save it for the installer. Replace any broken or worn out pieces. Buy new gaskets and sand and paint the frame.
2. The zipper has to match up with the window and attached to the top. Howconfident do you feel about your abilities?
3.They might pull the insurance rule or even charge more.
4. There is a video available showing the install process.
Needless to say I paid to have mine done and when the window had to be replaced that installer claimed the first one did'nt do it correctly.
