Default Clutch adjustment

Can anyone tell me how the Centerforce dual friction clutch feels once adjusted. I have just installed a new clutch along with a new flywheel & it feels pretty soft to the touch. Actually feels pretty good, but makes me think it's not ok. The clutch assembly is in a 70 Fastback with a 302 & a top loader. The clutch pedal is a good inch higher than the brake pedal, (whichI beleive is right). The adjusting rod on the Z bar isapplying just a little pressureon the fork.
I just don't have a good feeling about this one, any advice from you guys???????
