Exactly my point. The vendors don't need to see the thread..they will see the results from something like that and maybe compete a little better...or make a better product if they suddenly don't sell anything.

We just live in a disposable world today.
You just hit the nail on the head! Congrats!

Years ago the phrase "American Built" actually meant something. Line and factory workers took pride in the quality of their work as did most of the production companies here. Parts and items could actually be repaired for a smallish charge and whatever it happened to be was reused.

Today we do live in a disposable world. If something breaks its tossed out and replaced with either a new one or a used one from eBay, friend, etc. Very few things today are repaired.

Why? There are dozens of reason and opinions so it doesn't really matter why. Its just the way it is.... unfortunately.
right on the money...now link it to that gas price thread. The amount of oil used in the production of plastics which end up in throwaway items should be made public information. We would be doing the world a favor if everyone of those "discount warehouse" type places was blown off the face of the earth on the same day. If my kids breakwhatever it isin the first 5 minutes of use, it should not be allowed to be manufactured or sold.

Kids break everything in the first 5 minutes of use.

Anyway, I got the old(fixed) DGI radiator back in, low and behold there's no more heating issues.

But yes, we need to do away with this cheapo jippo disposable mentality.

I ordered 2 chrome plastic rings for my door *****. The scott drake shrinkwrap packaging is so stiff that you break most of their products by the time you have it unwrapped. so re-order and use a scalpel ...

mine broke after a week of having them on :|
