Hey folks this is a bit off topic
but thought I'd ask here anyways. I was reading on some other forum a few days ago that instead of windowtinting with the film that can scratch off and is regulated per state that there was a process in which you have the windows treated much like the original tint thats from the factory. This tinting is permanent and since its not a film it doesn't fall under the state tinting regulations.
Has anyone heard of this before? If so whats it called and know of any place it can be done?
Thanks.

Here in CA, it doesn't matter if it's tinted or dipped, if it's too dark for the officer to see thru (or more correctly too dark for the driver to see thru) it's illegal.
