Oh my distributor?
I bought an MSD without vacuum advance after i was told by a buddy to get the vac adv.
the dude at the performance shop said that it didnt really matter other than slightly less mpg on the highway. is this for real. or is it because it was all he had in stock?

+1 on starfury.
there's a reason they call distributors without vac canisters racing distributors.
The reason for that is that they driving throttle full open at all times.
A street car does not and hence they gave it the vac canister.
A performance shop will always give you a 'race' distributor. But if you want the car as daily driver you would have ben better off with a vac advance.
The annoying this is that 'racing' distributors are more expensive and the only difference is a lacking vac canister ...
