roof replacement progress

Today I made some good progress. I finished sanding the replacement skin and wiped them with lacquer thinner and then coated it with Rust Mort. Unfortunately I cant do any thing with the skin until tomorrow since you have to wait 24 hrs for it to dry.

Since I still had some day light left I decided to make a convertible. I cut the skin off my roof. I just had to cut along the gutter and door line to separate the panel.

here the skin is off. I found a dent in the frame work so what ever dented my roof hit with some force to dent through the skin and into the frame.

The wife is gone for another week and a half so I will be out there every night after work except for this weekend.
