I had to make a cut in the rear window channel so I could get my body lines to match up. I also had to make a cut up the side of the existing pillar for that side of the pillar to match up. Then I had to make a cut up the side of the skins pillar and open up the gap a bit to finalize the fit. I made a hand full of tack welds and used a stud puller to pull out the panel and used my body file to check the contour. I will attempt to finish tack welding the rest of that pillartomorrow. I still have a little fitment problem on the passenger side but it is not as bad.

I have a stupid question. Did the doner car and your car come from two different plants? Maybe they all got the panels from the same place (I don't know) but it seams odd that the doner roof would be off from yours so much. I built my car out of repop stuff and the fit was bad in some cases but I would expect the original stuff would be more consistant. I always dreamed of finding rust free original parts to fix mine but now I'm not so sure it would have been any better.
Anyway your doing a great job saving another Stang from the crusher!

I dont know where the roof came from. It was a spare that was cut off a car already and I just bought it at the local mustang shop. I kinda thought that it might be from a different plant as well. Oh well I am too far in to turn back now.LOL

Tonight I started doing some of the final welding on the drivers side rear pillar. I also welded along the door opening and the windshield. I jump around the car doing tack welds to avoid warpage. I am getting a little that is why I have the studs on again for pulling out the low spots. I am thinking that I am about done welding along the pillar since I made a flange there and I have it welded across pretty well. The vertical weld turned out pretty good with very little warpage. I also welded up the seam that connects the corner of the trunk to the corner of the window.
