Default oil pan installation

Hello, im new to all this so bear with my simple questions. I am in the middle of replacing my oil pan on my 67 and was wondering if I use any kind of sealent on the new oil pan gasket. I bought the one piece gasket for easy installation and thought I remember hearing that you don't use any RTV but I want to be sure before I install it. Engine is in car if that makes any difference

I wouldn't use any on the one-piece rubber gasket. Just drop it in and go

I've found on the 1 piece just a THIN layer of grey rtv on both sides of the up parts of the gasket, and the corners will prevent it from leaking completely. Without the silicone mine had a very minor seeping leak at the front and rear.
