Well this doesn't sound good....

My car is lowered 1" and I am putting on 16s with 4.8" backspacing.
depends how wide you go. 4.8 puts the rim more in-board, so the 1" lowered shouldnt make a difference in terms of hitting the top outside edge of the fender. I am not sure with that sort of back spacing but you may be running into clearance issues with tie rods on full lock turns. have you looked at dodgestangs charts?

Thanks for the help... I'm getting the215/60-15s.. The old 14 inch sprints are going bye bye..

I was told they are 16x7. I am getting a 1" wheel adapter on also. dodgestangs chart only has 16x7going up to4.25 backspacing. I am getting the 1" added so I think I will be good that way.
