Finacee's son is graduating tomorrow with so many honors it is unreal + will be leaving for "Plebe Summer" at Annapolis July 6th. This forum helped his mother qualify and buy a 66 Mustang 289 for his hard work (he won't be driving it hardly at all for a year due to the strict rules at the Academy (we will garage it). He has asked for some safe seat belts, and I need direction or suggestions on where to go to buy them for a gift from me....please advise and thanks ,

All of the mustnag parts vendors sell retractable lap/shoulder belts to retrofit the older mustangs. Here are a few links:

Forgot to mention that they come in many colors to match the interior of your car. The ones above are just a couple examples.

I got mine from CJ's Pony Parts in PA. They install in about an hour. They bolt into the existing floor mounts and you drill a couple of holes just behind the doors. Very quick, very easy, very afforable, very much worth while.

Congratulations on him getting into the Academy. If you are not local have him hook up with a sponsor family. My parents sponsored several mids over the years. It makes the mids life a whole lot easier and gets them off the campus for a while. Annapolis is a great town and I know when I graduated High School (to many years ago) the girls went crazy for Mids.

I just called my Dad and he said when he gets to the Academy they will get info on it. It's been several years since my parents did it so they don't know anyone there anymore. I would think you could call the Academy over the summer and get some info.
