I think that shifter **** is an old after market or option. I have one also. May of come with deluxe interior.
Might be. I looked on Ebay and didn't find any. I also don't have deluxe interior. So I really have no idea.

Ahh
Just revealing a snapshotinthe movie of life you classic has endured!!

That is just some of the joy in working with old cars. Trying to sometimes figure out the little 'clues' that are left behind from the previous owner(s). But one of my favorites is "What were they thinking?" or "Whydid they do this?"

I have a similar wood shifter **** in a box. Walnut-looking wood with a mustang emblem on the top, but with a plastic cover over the insert instead of the bare metal. I also have an OE "woodgrain" plastic shifter **** for 68-73 shifters, but in the box for a 67 part.

Dimes to doughnuts it's an old aftermarket ****. JC Whitney or something like that. Clean it up like the flyingfool said.

Oh, and, if I may be so bold, lose the boy-racer pedals. You can do better than that.

Maybe a nice set of factory deluxe pedals?

Ok I will take them off. I am going to get some Billet Alluminum pedals after I get new rear tires.
