Well the Fed Ex guy. I finally got my trunk lid and splash shields. Just pulling the lid out of the box I saw the crappy workmanship of the lid. The lines that are supposed to be strait aren't. Oh well fits with everything else on the car.

Now the fun starts with the fiberglass. You like to torture yourself don't you? As you may recall mine was pretty bad to start with but trurned out pretty nice. Knowing you Tony you will have that thing looking tip top in no time at all.

Too bad. We put a fiberglass trunk lid on my son's 68. Never did get it to fit right. I have considered an aftermarket lid for my fastback, hoping they had improved. Won't do it now. Just stick with the factory lid and work on it. I just don't understand why we have to put up with bad aftermarket parts.

I tried to take a pic of how bad it is. The bottom line is real wavy.

My glass decklid was the same way, pretty rough. I worked on it a lot and now it's at the body shop with the rest of the car.

Sorry to say, that's the way fiberglass panels are. Everyone I have ever purchased fit horrible.

I dont even know how it fits yet. However I would have thought that the thing would have some straighter lines. It doesn't look like anything that I cant fix though. It looks easy compared to some of the other projects that I have tackled on this car.

one other thing that irritates me is with how much money I spent on the lid you would think that they would give you the bolts for it.
