Default Question about Engine Sizes

I am building a 1972 Mach 1 back to specifications of my father. If I remembered correctly he had always told me that he had the 351W, but everything I've read has said that the only the 351C was offered that year. Is this correct and I just am wrong on what I thought he had??

Also I have seen a lot of remanufactured engines sites, and found one that I like giving a 351W with about 365 HP. Question is what all would be different in putting in a Windsor if the car originally came with the Cleveland?

Thanks

Count the valve cover bolts. The Cleveland will have 8 bolts and the Windsor will have 6.

You are correct in the fact that all 351's that year were Clevelands (2V and 4V HO,CJ). The Windsor was not an option, but the 302 was.

As for what is involved in changing. Someone else here would have to tell you as I have never done that swap.
