Default TILT-STEERING COLUMN

I want to buy a paintable tilt steering column for my 1970 Coupe 289/auto on floor?
Has anyone installed one in a 69-70?
Did you have any problems? (wiring/turn signal switch/steering wheel/u-joints?)
I know that the key was in the column in 1970.
I understand a 67-69 will work I just have to put the key in the 1969 location.
I have found a place that makes a 1970 column but not everyone has WAFFLES kind of cash laying around .

Have you looked on flaming river, they make excellent tilt steering columns and it was a piece of cake to install, granted i did upgrade to rack and pinon so it might be different if you are boting it up to a link setup?[X(]

The hardest part was getting the old column out![:@]

What kind of money do you think I have????? LMAO I am on unemployment, going to school for Microsoft Certifications, in an apartment with my fiance, and I have to buy a ton of dogfood cause my puppy is a little piglet!

Of course, I do alot of hustling and alot of sidejobs building computers, brake jobs, oil changes, buying and selling cars, pinstriping, and DJing...

I get by OK.

NPDs tilt steering columns are really nice, for the money.

Yeah,
I would like to have had the ignition in the column at first,
Then I was thinking
"it is a resto-mod and I don't have WAFFLES typecash laying around ".

Why not have fun with the key location.
So I may have to get out and open the trunk, remove the spare tire, undo the jack,Turn my head and cough 3 times while standing on one leg just to put in the key to start it.Think of the ANTI-THEFT that would be!!![sm=bangbang.gif][sm=drooldude.gif][sm=drooldude.gif]

They say I am going to need a installation kit $169.00

http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...=FR200MUKT2+01

and a turn signal switch for a TILT column $99.00,

http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...sp?T1=F2340+01

So it's going to be over $500.00 anyway

You know WAFFLES...... I was wanting a 3.73 disc-brake trac-loc.
You buy me one of those and I will personally deliver mine to your front door!

The 4.11 is too much gear for a C-4 and the type of driving I want to do.
With the shift kit and 4.11's it chirps the tires everytime it shifts, even 2nd to 3rd. COOL, But annoying after while.
