Default Urethane

What type of Urethane did Ford use on the engine bay, and between the front fenders/sheet metal. I am about to put the front end back together and wanted to install the Urethane which i removed to paint everything.

While I am not near enough of a "concours" guy to pretend to know for sure, I am reasonably sure that Ford did not use urethane paint anywhere on the classics of the 60s.....

I am not for sure urethane paint was even available in the 60s...

I guess it probably was available, but for a car company faced with the desire to produce the Mustang for a Dollar a pound, I can't imagine it being used...

It is my understanding that the bottoms of these cars were painted/primed with leftover paint....

The Urethane i ment was like windshield type so to say the Ford dressed seams etc and was on the sheel metal that each fender sat on top of...

If that even makes sense?
