Default Rising Hood

my hood began rising a while back near the front windshield. when u push on it it goes down but once i open the hood and close it , it rises again. someone once told me that it was just because it was old and just needed to be re lubricated, tried that but had no effect. any suggestion to a solution?

I too think you need to oil the hinges. More oil please!

Sounds like your hinges are in need of replacing.

It sounds like maybe the bolts aren't tight. The rear of my hood is raised up because my hinge is high and I have to lower it.

I don't think they can be taken apart, they have rivets holding them together.

New hinges. I had to replace mine too. I waited until I bent one trying to shut the hood.

it's a common problem. I replaced my hinges and even the new ones did it (probably because they are likley Chineese pewp). I'm all ears if there's an easy fix that's cheaper than those $600 billet jobbers.
