T-5 Short Shift
Here's my latest issue.
I want to install a short shifter on my 68 which has been converted to a T-5 by a previous owner. Is the stock T-5 shifter assembly the one thats in there, and can I just go find a Short Shift kit for any T-5? or is the one currently installed specific to the Classic Mustang swap? I love the 5 speed, but the throw is just way too long.

No, the shifter is not specific to classic conversions. You can go pick up any T5 shifter and it will work fine for you
Having played with a Pro 5.0 shifter on my roommate's old Trans Am, I have to say it's well worth the investment.
