ihave no front parking lights hooked up right now, wires are just sitting there,...am i missing something here, but does everything have to be hooked up in order for this electrical system to work?

the light switch DOES dim the dash lights when its turned,...and lights come on as soon as the battery is hooked up

Push your headlight **** all of the way in. Now pull it out. How many detents do you feel? You should feel one detent for the parking lights.... and then the **** should come out more and stop when the headlights come on.

Are you feeling that detent?

No, the front parking lights not being hooked up right now is not part of the problem, but I still would like to know if they're also getting power when the rear lights and dash lights are on.

I'm thinking that your **** is not fully inserted into theswitch.

If I were you, I'd pull the switch back out of the dash and reassemble it while it's hanging under the dash. Cycle the switch and watch how the switch operates. It may be your electrical connector that hooks up to the switch is the culprit.

Damn I hate electrical problems, I know it's your problem, but I do feel for ya.
