Hey VFast. You have over 11 thousand posts, but are not listed as the most. What gives with that?
If I had the room in my 65, I would have a Cammer in it. Then I could say I have a restomod.

hmmm so hard to chose, so many great motors have been made over the years....
A. 289 because it's what ive got and its pretty tough ::little:: motor
B. Boss 429 motor
C. 426 Hemi
D. does the 2.3l turbo from an 86 SVO count as a v8...[8D]
E. 427 aluminum block (with dual quads of course)
F. range rover aluminum block motor (as used in morgan +8s and other smaller lighter british cars)
those are my favorites taht i can think of right now

why buick sold that motor was odd as it was only pulled from production last year or so, I think it did not sell well in the states due to the aluminum heads as people thought they wouldn't last, but that motor ended up in everthing even the mg miget RV8 which is a super small by us standards. Buick loss was British Leylands gain.
It is also the standard British engine for all hot rod use and special versions powered the Formula 1 winning Brabham team. It’s not surprising therefore that in 2005 Engine Technology International magazine and journalist Keith Read voted it “ the greatest engine of all time”. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/defa...?storyId=13228
