I can't tell from the pics but if you don't have one, you might wanna consider installing a fill/drain plug to the housing. I recently changed bearings and removed the 3rd member from my 9". It doesnt have a fill/drain plug and that's what I wish I would have done. Although you'd have to pull the axel compeltely out, and that's why I didn't do it.

Im just hoping they dont tell me I brought them the wrong gear or some crap. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning.

The M1 Garand 30-06 cal m2 ball 8 round enbloc semi auto, effective range 1000 yards. Used in 1 world war, Vietnam, Korea, and countless smaller conflicts by many nations including the Danes who used it as a primary weapon for national security all the way until 1990. Best company when approaching business bar none.

As for the drain plug I had considered drilling into the bottom of the case and welding a nut around the hole then placing a bolt in the hole as a plug but was wasnt sure if it could lead to unforeseen consequences...So I left well enough alone...Do you think it would be a good idea?

I also wanted to ask:

When I reinstall the center do I need a gasket or can I use Permatex "right stuff" instead

When I removed the center I noticed that a silicone type sealant had been used as a gasket...But im not sure if a gasket also accompanied the silicone or not Ill have to look closer.
What do you guys think?

Thanks Tyler It looks like thats how it was done last time. There was no gasket used and it worked fine.

Okay got my center back and everything is looking good.

I have what looks like a fill plug about in the middle of the housing.

How much gear oil do you add? Until it comes out that fill plug or until it runs out the axles?

I have a good 80/90Wt and a friction modifier for the tru trac.

Up to the bottom of the fill plug. I'm not sure you need a friction modifier with the True-Trac. There aren't any clutches to require them. I'd check with Eaton on that.

those gears ship out immediately. I wish I woud have ordered those. Instead, I have to wait 2 weeks for them to ship 4.11's to my house from summit.
