Are you guys talking about welding just the lower vent holes shut or welding the upper vent shut or doing both? I am having a problem with my 65 coupe's cowl vents leaking. I was wondering if I just cut the upper vent out and welded it shut with some sheet metal and then painted it to match the car, would that work or will I need to weld the lower vent holes shut too? If anyone has done this can you post some pictures of how you did it and how it looks now? I have a Vintage Air unit so I don't care about fresh air coming into the car. I also live in central Florida. Thanks!

we are talking about both. If you look at the pics I posted above it shows how I welded my upper cowl shut. I am not going to weld my lower cowl shut.
