They will physically bolt to the engine, but im not sure how well they would fit the car.

im dealing with the exhaust company because the down pipes they sent me do not fit onto my 289 manifolds.

if i got them to ship me 5.0 shorties (they do not make classic headers) do you think i could make th esystem work?

took some fotos of the manifolds. it appears the driverside would have difficulty due to the clutch linkage.[:@]

Doubt they'll fit, fox body engine bay is wider than the early cars.

you would have to cable clutch it. i thought about shorties.even with the massive engine room of a 73 w/ 302, i still cant clear the clutch parts.

that seems to be the problem

the company has offered to reimburse me 50 dollars and i keep the downpipes and am going to have to go to an exhuast shop to have the ends modified to fit my manifolds.

i might end up with some tri Y manifolds. but im poor. and that 50 bucks is all i got really.

this whole exhaust shenanigans is really starting to wear on me.

these car parts companies seem to assume that there are car modification garages on every corner.

the town i live in is not lucky enough to have a couple of shops like other cities.

Ive got a late model 5.0 with 67 302 headers on it and it clears everything including the original clutch pedal linkage.
