anything is possible with a cut off tool and a welder.

but there is no point. that motor was built to pull heavy loads. it has a lot of torque but not a whole lot of hp, plus it weighs a ton. youd have to modify pretty much every aspect of the front half, from the inner fender wells, to the floor boards.

but really this is kinda a dumb question.

ya know its not the first time some one has asked this very same question....I think they wanted to use the large (8L or something like that) powerjoke instead, however.

i'd say with that amount of torque you can pull your car in half when you attach the back to a tree.
otherwise I can't see any other reason for this

I think a better candidate would be a 460ci, instead of the powerstrokeI know that has been done a good many time...

With enough practice, but mostly money, you can do anything to anything. I've seen picture on here a long time ago where someone put a tank engine in a Mustang. It was pretty beastly, I must say...

i wouldnt say that the engines dont have a lot of hp, the diesel aftermarket is insane these days and they are throwing down hp and tq #'s way higher than most gas engines

but it would be impractical to put a 7.3 in a mustang, it would be so front heavy that the back wheels would barely stay on the ground, much less hook up

now a 7.3 in a 69 f-100 with some fat slicks would be nasty

well i know its not a mustang but i retro-fitted a 12-71 detriot into a 78 ford 1-ton flatbed, hard to do but it was a hell of a lot of fun pulling a lowboy trailer with a 8520 john deere tractor,we did retro-fit a lowboy hitch into the bed also
