Default Rear axle "play"

I have a 1967 Mustang coupe with a 9 inch rear end. While changing the rear tires I noticed that there is a little play when rotating the tire back and forth. How much play is normal?

Thanks!

aye. just to have that confirmed. But there must be no play in any other direction than rotating
