Default 65 Kickpanels?

Has anyone here ever used these kickpanels?

If so, can you post some pics of them installed in the car? Thanks!

the tweeter pod is a bit much if you ask me, but if your really into a sound system go for it. I personally like the look of the single speaker pod that already comes with the speaker in it. Its a clean and tight fit. Some speaker grills wont fit on the pod right, keep that in mind if you go the other route

rst08tierney, what kind of carpet do you have in your car? It doesn't look like the original style carpet from your picture.

its original style from NPD, its just the flash that makes it a little light.

pssstt....also a secret to make it look good is to use a vacuum or a shop vac to keep it clean and neat. Some people over look little things like that, it makes a big difference

I been gearing up for a stereo system and all the talk I hear is that the directional remote tweeter is much better than the coaxial single mounted in the middle of the 6.5. I have seen some of the high end coaxials have a rotating tweeter in the middle as to direct the sound toward your ears. I'm glad you posted these as I may order a set. I'm not too sure how they enhance the ride quality though (a smooth ride) in the ad jargo.

I don't think that those panels are necessary. Having a tweeter down by your feet next to the carpet probably won't do any good. If I remember correctly, you want to always aim or reflect them to your ear level. I would go with the single speaker setup.

I already have a set of the single 6.5" kickpanels, but the problem is that I already have a set of component speakers. I tried to make tham fit, but it just won't work without doing a good deal of fiberglass work. So, if these kicks would work, I would rather spend the $100 on them rather than spend it on a new set of regular 6.5" speakers with the tweeter built on that won't sound as good as the ones that I already have.

There is a big difference between component speakers and regular speakers. Just look at what all the serious audio guys put in their rides. It's not just about the tweeter positioning, most component speaker systems come with crossovers so you can adjust the speakers to what type of music you listen to.

67 Evil, let me know if you get these and how they work out for you. Thanks!
