Complete Modern Brake Set-Up
I've been neglecting my 65 lately, due to the fact that I picked up an 01 GT and well, its just new and interesting.
Anyway, I have a 65 Coupe with a 351W and a T5 behind that. The 351W is built and has a healthy cam (.544 lift and .296 duration) I've had vacuum problems the entire time I've had this engine in the car. (about one year) The engine makes about 8 inches of HG at idle, a far cry from the 18 the power booster requires. I have seen a few classics with a hydroboost setup from the SN95 mustangs.
Anyone running these?
While at it, I beleive I am going to upgrade my rear drums to 11.65 discs from a SN95 and maybe even upgrade my factory disc brakes with slotted and vented rotors to either the S197 front brakes of if I save enough a set of 13inch cobra brakes up front.
(I'm getting it track ready)
I tried the search function but we all know it hasn't been working.
Does anyone have any experience with these swaps. I remember awhile back valleyfirearms did the S197 swap I beleive. I have done some research on mustang steve but I was wondering if there were any others who made brackets for the calipers

Search eBay for the bracket to add SN95 front and rear brakes to the Early Mustang.
I have a stock SN95 GT brake set-up here that I am adding to my daughters `67. I have the Cobra Brakes on my Explorer, and I used a drum brake hub from a 1967 Mustangfor the swap in my Explorer. I was quite amazed at how well it all came together...
They have the same type of brackets for the SN95 GT rear disc, or the SN95 Cobra set-up...
Good luck,
Ryan

I have a vacuum pump with a vacuum canister, but after driving the 01 Its just not the same :-)
Plus, it will be seeing some track time in the near future and I like to be spoiled haha

Theres http://www.vintagevenom.com/ but i don't trust the spacer behide the rotor it uses and it changes your back spacing to the newer mustangs tho.Or http://www.streetortrack.com/ST-Products-c-252.html has the front ones i have done some adding with these kits you could spend a little more or the same and get the smaller baer brakes which is the same brakes tho.

set up since your low on vacuum? or get a vacuum pump to operate the brakes from a mid 80s turbo Z car?
