randomonium in the engine
now, according to some of the research i've done, only a few minutes but still, that should be the PCV valve. tomorrow i'll pull it off and tell you all what's there.
You may be forgetting that there is more than one size of PCV valve. This does appear to be the bigger one, and yes that is a hose coming off it, not plastic. Every time you buy a new PCV valve, you get a new rubber "L" with it. Let's wait to see what he finds when he goes to look at it. If the PCV is in the oil filler cap, I will stand corrected. Fair enough?
This is the photo that 69FEcoupe was talking about

You double click on the image to blow it up.....and, yes that engine does appear to have something sticking out of the oil cap that resembles a PCV. So, I guess I need to buy cyber beers for the forum.
I stand corrected.

I stand corrected.
Thanks for the help.
The one on the passengers side connects to a small fliter that is in the side of the air filter housing. I don't think that was the original set up for that year mustang, but it's been a long time. It looks more like a 74-79 set up.
Oh, make mine bourbon on the rocks please. JD or Makers Mark will do.
Maybe that is why I was thinking 65-73 and it indeed is for later years. It's a strange set-up for sure. OK I have Maker's Mark, VO, Johnny Walker and some Tequila gold. What' your druthers?
