Default Messed Up Door

The driver side door on my '65 coupe is pretty whacked. The lock does not work (no up and down). The door will not open from the outside, but it will from the inside. Key lock does not work. The latch sometimes sticks closed or open, and the door either won't catch shut or bounces back.

I have taken the door panel off, and I believe the actuator rod is off. But man, I cannot get into the door to try to fix it or at least see what is wrong. And not sure what else could be going wrong with the latch and stuff.

Anyone have advice on how to get to the levers and such without taking half the skin off my hands?

Default RE: Messed Up Door

I took the latch out entirely and sprayed it full of WD-40. That seemed to fix the sticking problem. The locks and releases not working are probably due to an unhooked rod. On my '67, the easiest way to get the latch out is to disconnect the rods from the latch inside the door. There are little plastic pieces on the rods that unsnap to remove the rods. Even without the rods, it's still hard to get the latch out without cutting up your hands.
