FatMat Install
I know this has been shown on here but I thought i would add my experience.
I purchased 100 sqft of fatMat on ebay. i paid $189 plus shipping. was a good price from what i have seen. vThe product is great and fairly easy to use.
First you will see that i sprayed the floor pan with a rubberized under coating. I was not going to use the fatmat. that is whyI undercoated it. But, thenI thought that since it was apart, why not? The coating is $6 per can.I did the entire undernieth and the interior with 11 cans. However it is messy.
I then applied the fatmat.
Note: it is much easier to use when warm and in small pieces. The roll was 18" by about 30 ft long.I used pieces about 18" x 18". this seemed to be the easiest.
You will need to make many cuts in it to get it to contour and to relieve the bubbles.
The product is very sticky. I dont think that there is any possible way it will come loose. So i went ahead and covered the roof also. it took about 2 hours and was not hard. It was a lot of work though. Especially with 3 bad disc's in my back.
I can already tell it will make a huge difference.
I did the entire interior and it only took about 60 sqft. I STILL HAVE THE TRUNK LEFT. I AM SURE THAT I WILL HAVE ABOUT 20 SQFT LEFT OVER.

Ummmm, 189$ plus shipping for 100sqft of Fatmat? You must have no looked very well. Mine was just under 80$, shipped!
I'd show you the pics of mine, but damn search function doesn't work. Anyone got the link? I'l save it this time for future reference..
BTW, I started to do my trunk (gastank top and area above differential), but then I thought "Why am I sound deadening the trunk anyways?" Because I made myself a rear seat divider, I insulated the backside of that well, and the entire framing that divides the trunk and cabin. I figure the trunk can be as loud as it wants, aslong as it stays in the trunk. I believe it saved alot of sqft too.
