wire harness
Hi guys, we have a new wire harness for the headlights for a 69 Mustang.
It all looks good but before we proceed I want to find out if the original hardshell connector at the firewall a can be reused. It has kind of a pin connectors as does the new wire harness.
I'm concerned about loose conections after we change the wire harness.
Any of you made this wire change out?
( I would have done a search but no can do.)

I have a '66 Coupe, but I replaced my headlight harness and the alternator harness.
Did not change anything else out (yet) but I didn't have any problems plugging into what was there.
Eventually I am going to replace the underdash, rear and turn signal harnesses but haven't had the time / money to do so as yet.

take a wire brush and clean up the old connectors before you plug the new one in.
and theyre molded into the rubber so they shouldnt come out. the only way to replace that connector is to get a new underdash harness or an old one with a nice connector and splice it onto your harness.
i just took my underdash harness into a shop but it wasnt rebuildable. the PO had cut some wires off i needed. so i found a REALLY REALLY nice orignal one from a guy not too far away who parts out mustangs and i took both to the shop and had my GT wiring transfered to the new harness i got. came out SUPER nice and so i have a new harness WITH GT stuff for $150
. way better than a $400 cheap remake one withOUT my GT stuff.
