2v swap
Well my 67 had it's carb decide to die last week right after I rebuilt it. So it has pretty much sat in the driveway for almost a week now. I decided to go 2v since we couldn't find a 1v cheap enough to get. Ordered the 2v H/W and 2v adapter from Stovebolt. Got them yesterday. Fixed it all up and put it on today. Ran it for the first time since the carb breaking. Now we are fine tuning the carb. Almost had hood clearance problems. Just some pics of it. Now I just have to custom make my throttle rod to make the gas pedal work with the carb since it is a different style than the 1v carbs.
2v swap
2v H/W - 65
Adapter- 15
Electric Choke- 10

Looks good, from what I've been told, without the spark control valve on the old 1100,your vac from the carb won't be right with a stock dizzy (no centrifugal advance) now would be a good time to switch to a duraspark, eliminate the points and have one less variable to worry about. What kinda breather are u usin?
and looking through your photos i see a screenshot from MOH:AA LOL! I played MOH:AA, MOH:SH, and MOH:BT when they first came out.... YEARS ago. Have since played SOF2, BF1942, COD, COD:UO, COD2, COD4, and recently just downloaded Combat Arms (free DL, check it out)
Just kinda funny. Took me back YEARS with that screenshot. I was one of the first people to discover Landsharking... and I coined that phrase (by naming myself "Jaws The Landshark" and one of the first to get on the Church roof in The Hunt.
God I miss that game.

Yeah, I don't know from experience, I'm still using the 1100 and stock dizzy but from what I've been told the spark control valve puts full manifold vacuum to the dizzy when it opens to compensate for not having centrifugal advance in the dizzy, whereas with your new carb all you have is venturi vacuum. I believe in 68 they went to centrifugal advance and did away with the spark control valve so you could probably use that dizzy and still keep your pertronix.
[/align]http://www.fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18841 I've also heard some people say they did a way with the coolant plate and got extra clearance, but I think that would put a lot more heat on the carb. You should be able to find some kind of low clearance breather, wouldn't want to run it without a filter!
