Default Windshield still leaks!!!

I got a rock chip in my windshield back in March of this year. My insurance had Safelite replace it with no deductible. Safelite did a very crappy job because they chipped some of my paint, bent my chrome moldings, and couldn't get all the moldings to clip back on. They told me that the moldings are my responsibility because they are only paid to replace the windshield. Well, after repeated talks with my insurance company and Safelite managers, Safelite agreed to pay to have another shop do the work. I took it to a local muscle car shop and they had their glass guy pull the glass, clean all the clips, reinstall the glass, straighten and reinstall the moldings, and touch up the paint chips. Everythng was good for a month or so, then the leaks started. I took it back to the shop and they told me to leave it with them and their glass guy would fix it. When I picked it up they told me the problem was a piece of wire left from some welding ,done when the car was torn down, wasn't letting the windsheild gasket seal properly. So I took it home. When I went to wash it about a week later, there is still water on the floorpans. I don't have any carpet or anything on the floors because I want to get the leaks fixed first. I know my cowl leaks very slowly (nothing too bad, I keep the plastic cowl cover on when I know it's going to get wet), but I think the windshield is still leaking.
My question is, does anyone here know of a good, reputable glass shop in the central Florida area? I am tired of taking it to shops 2 and 3 times and still having the same problems! Thanks for any help guys!

The guy at the muscle car shop should have gotten it right. I'd try and find a shop/guy that's been doing auto glass for +35 years. Starting in the early70's, windshield installation techniques changed. The guy that does Hondas and Explorers all day long is usually not the guy that you want. Think "old-timer".

It's not that hard to do yourself. Have a friend help you. If you do it yourself you will do it right.

The guys at this shop are all "old-timer's". I'm not sure about their glass guy though, I've never met him. I was kind of skeptical about the sealer that they used. I thought that on a car as old as mine you were supposed to use that sealer that never gets hard. The kind that stays sort of tacky. They used the stuff that gets hard. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. I don't know if I really want to try this myself. I've seen my father-in-law do some glass on his cars and it seems like a pain in the ***. I would like to know if someone on here has used any shops in the central Florida area that they would recommend.
