Whos painted their interior themselves?
I painted the entire interior myself.
I got factory match paint from NPD. it was a light blue with metallic type flake in it and it came out great and is still looking good.

JMD and I painted our interior ourselves, it was a long process but it came out really good, I used the same paint that we used on the exterior, I can't think of what is was at the moment I believe it was a Nason single stage.

i have done my interior myself. i wire wheeled the panels to keep the grain and amazingly bought some "body shop" brand paint from wal-mart that turned out to be aperfect match to my acapulco blue. too bad they discontinued the line of paints.
i could use some more to have just in case of chips. oh well, i'll just order some from paintscratch.com

The grain or texture of the back panels is part of the metal, i used a DA and all the texture stayed, so contrary to popular belief you cannot sand off the texture unless you try very hard.
You can sand off the texture in the fiberglass and plastic panels, but thats it. Otherwise you're gonna have to use a few coats of primer and sand that smooth.
here is some old pics of my spray paint interior, its really simple and looks great. Durability is good as well.

You need to be very careful with the texture. Some aircraft stripper and a wire brush in a drill will do the trick. Make sure not to get the stripper on the painted surfaces you don't want messed up. If you use a 2k, just spray a very fine mist, almost translucient. I like to use a catalyzed enamel paint with aflattener, with a few very thin coats. You have to be real careful not to fill the texture or they will come out smooth.
Oh yeah now I remember, the grain can come off because on my glove box there are patches where it is smooth (not from me though) if its sanded to much or just worn down the grain will go.
There is also this arch of less texture where the ignition is because the PO's keys would swing and hit the dash, creating a nice arch of no paint and texture. Thats what I'm assuming anyway. I fixed it all though
